McDermott joined Zirous in 2001. During his tenure, the company frew from about 17 employees to 120, while its clients base increased from 15 to over 475.
Zirous acquired Applied Art & Technology, a creative digital studio, in 2025 and moved it under VAEZR Studio, its creative agency, on July 1.

McDermott and Tell address leadership change
McDermott said he has confidence in Tell and Brimeyer, citing their longstanding involvement in the company’s strategy and culture. Tell said she plans to continue delivering solutions to clients.
Zirous said McDermott will assist with the leadership handover but did not specify whether he would hold an ongoing position or advisory role after the transition.
